The war affected rural America in several ways –
- First, it pulled young people off the farm, albeit at much lower levels than during World War II.
- It provided a dramatic, though temporary, spike in farm incomes as demand for food to support the troops increased.
- The war also increased the government's commodity support payments to farmers and shrank the glut of over-produced farm products that had been stockpiled by the Commodity Credit Corporation in the late 40s.
- After the war, farm prices came under pressure by consumers demanding lower food prices.
North Korean abductions of South Korean
North Korea abducted tens of thousands of South Korean civilians, mainly civil servants, educators, writers, judges, Christian pastors and businesspeople. Mostly men. Ms. Lee one of the survivor said that they never admit kidnapping because that would be admitting a crime and just hope we’ll all be dead soon and this will all be forgotten. Also in 2002, her group found a 1952 government document listing 83,000 South Koreans as kidnapped. According to South Korean government estimates, Communist troops and militias killed 59,000 to 122,800 South Korean civilians during the war. The North Koreans often seemed to have a clear idea of which people they wanted to move to the North, apparently to bolster their own professional ranks for reconstruction after the war or, in other cases, to neutralize enemies, like members of anti-Communist, right-wing groups.

Separation
When Korean divided in 38th parallel. So it became North Korean and South Korean. When they divided so did families. Many families were separated. They weren't able see each other.
